 Post subject: Pocketing question

i want to interpolate a drilled hole, i set the plunge point to the middle of the hole and on the rough it does just that
on the finish even if i set the plunge point on center it plunges to the finished dia and starts from there,

I think I've seen that before - for all I know, it might still be so for some features/conditions.
Just for giggles, see if you can select "Finish Bottom" and get a different toolpath.

Works like a charm thanks a ton, i never even seen that box before
but it seems to not let my rough plunge on center, even with the plunge point set on the rough

I would say it is totally acceptable on a good machine in the right conditions.

same here but i work in an environment where they are not familiar with any form of ramping so plunging into any marterial they freak out here, and make me change it they way they say

Well you could set a predrill location and have the machine do the drilling for you.
