Just got toolmaker on a trial basis and tried to do a new design clip on lid which has 4 tags that r hinged. they r not part of the lid itself so when I brought it into toolmaker to test out it's split line capabilities it would not select all 5 componants?

is there a way to do a "family mold" in toolmaker?

The diw wizard can only split one solid at a time. Your best approach is probably to split the main lid first, to get the main die pieces. then run the wizard again on each of the clips, and manually subtract the results from the main inserts. Depending on the complexity (or otherwise) of the splitlines, you might need to do some fancy surfacing, but nothing PowerSHAPE can't handle.
